(Who We Are)
SAMMinistries is an interfaith ministry whose mission is to help the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless attain self-sufficiency by offering, with dignity and compassion, shelter, housing and services. We provide volunteers opportunities to be renewed and fulfilled as they serve

In 2000, we expanded our programs and facilities to include transitional housing for families at the Transitional Living and Learning Center (TLLC) on Blanco Road. The TLLC is a residential facility for up to 40 homeless families with minor children who show a commitment to gaining self-sufficiency. The individual needs of all family members are supported, promoting the viability of the family as a whole. In Fiscal Year 2007, the TLLC housed and served a total of 272 unduplicated family residents, of which 101 were adults and 171 were children.

TLLC Program Facts:
* A family may live at the Center for up to two years.

* Upon entrance into the program, the head of household must either be working, going to school or a combination of both a minimum of 30 hours per week.

* Families are not required to pay rent, but must pay 30% of their adjusted gross income toward debt reduction.

* Families are offered classes in life-skills building, money management, nurturing parent, resume writing, and GED exam readiness.

* In 2006, over 75 percent of the families that left our Transitional Living and Learning Center have entered permanent housing.

(What We Do)
Camp SAMM
Camp SAMM is a free recreational program for homeless children age 4 years and up.

After-School Kare Program
The After School Kare (ASK) Program was established to provide certified childcare for all children ages 5-11 who are currently living at our Transitional Living and Learning Center (TLLC) on Blanco Road.

Parent Nurturing Program
The philosophy of the Nurturing Parent Program emphasizes the importance of raising children in a warm, trusting and caring household.

Play Therapy Program
Play Therapy can be a valuable tool in helping troubled children work through their issues, since play is a child's natural method of learning, developing, and expressing their feelings.

Teen Program
SAMMinistries created the Teen Program to focus on the special challenges of the homeless teens residing in our Transitional Living and Learning Center (TLLC).

Emergency Services Case Management Programs (The Program)
